Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Will a psychologist be able to help me?

I’m often asked whether I should see a psychologist, a psychiatrist, or perhaps a psychotherapist. Each of these specialties helps in different areas. I’ve written a blog post specifically for people who are wondering about this, explaining the differences between these professions.

If you have any questions, please feel free to schedule an appointment. If we both agree that I am not the right specialist for you, I will refer you to the appropriate professional to ensure you receive the best possible care.

You can schedule a consultation on my platform, interpersonalnie.pl, where I offer professional psychological support tailored to your needs. Through this platform, you can easily schedule in-person or online consultations without having to leave your home. Regardless of the format of the session, I provide support tailored to your individual situation and expectations.

The cost of a psychological consultation depends on the type of appointment and the form of service:

ONLINE CONSULTATIONS:

  • 50 minutes – 180 PLN

IN-PERSON CONSULTATIONS (at the office):

  • 50 minutes – 200 PLN

In-person consultations at my office at 118b Łagiewnicka Street in Łódź are slightly more expensive than online consultations, due to the costs of renting and maintaining a professional space.

Before your first psychological consultation, it’s a good idea to make some preparations so that you can get the most out of the session. It’s helpful to think about your expectations and the questions you’d like to ask me. These may relate to both your current difficulties and general issues regarding psychological counseling.

For online consultations, it’s also a good idea to set up a space where you’ll feel comfortable—preferably one where you can concentrate and the conversation can take place in silence, without interruptions. Make sure no one disturbs you or overhears the conversation. A stable internet connection is essential to avoid technical issues that could disrupt the session. The goal of the first session is to get to know each other, understand the challenges you’re facing, and jointly set goals that will form the basis for our future work. It’s also a time to discuss our working methods and the nature of our collaboration so that the sessions are as effective and comfortable as possible. Preparing for the meeting will allow you to fully focus on the conversation and make the most of the time we set aside for the session.

Online psychological counseling is effective, although it’s a very individual matter—some patients prefer this type of session with a psychologist, valuing the convenience and flexibility it offers, while others prefer in-person sessions. Nevertheless, online counseling has clear advantages, such as greater accessibility and time savings, allowing you to receive psychological support without having to travel. Additionally, for many people, this is a less stressful form of interaction, especially for those who have difficulty leaving the house or have a busy schedule. Modern communication tools enable online sessions to be just as effective, provided that the client feels comfortable and is engaged in the session.

To schedule an appointment with a psychologist, you can use the form on the interpersonalnie.pl website. The first step is to choose the location of your appointment (an in-person appointment at the office at 118b Łagiewnicka St. or an online appointment). Next, specify whether this is your first appointment or a follow-up by selecting the appropriate service. The next step is to choose a convenient time from the available calendar, which displays only open slots. After selecting a date and clicking the “Proceed to Booking” button, you’ll be redirected to the booking portal, where you’ll be asked to provide additional information, such as your first name, last name, email address, and phone number. At this point, you also have the option to register on the portal or complete the booking process without creating an account. Additionally, you’ll select a payment method and can add any additional information you’d like to provide before your visit.

On my website, interpersonalnie.pl, you can book an appointment online for any of the available times. However, if you need an appointment at a different time—such as late in the evening or on the weekend—please contact me by email at kontakt@interpersonalnie.pl —I’ll do my best to suggest a convenient time for your consultation.

Yes, on interpersonalnie.pl, I offer flexible appointment times that can be tailored to your busy schedule. It’s worth remembering, however, that psychological consultations don’t provide ready-made answers to all your questions—every person has their own experiences that shape them, so the best solutions must be worked out on your own.

As a psychologist, I can guide you through this process by offering support, psychoeducation, and help in understanding the challenges you face. It’s important to set aside time for reflection and self-work between sessions—this allows you to better prepare for your next appointments and make changes in your daily life more effectively.
